Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States of America. His inauguration was on March 4, 1861, around the same time civil war broke. Thanks to his brilliance, he led the Union to victory on April 9, 1865 and even passed the Emancipation Proclamation declaring all slaves to be free.
